Say Cheese!

Collin has discovered a new love...queso!

As you can tell he enjoyed every last bite and lick!

And a random photo of Collin modeling a cowboy hat that was a take home art project from story hour. Brendan refused to let me make his into a hat, so it's just Collin!

September?

How did that happen? Obviously the summer just blew by for us!! Lots of fun was had, but I am definitely looking forward to the fall.

Let's see if I can even remember how to update my blog...it's been quite awhile! Coming up, random pics left from the summer, moving to the "big boy" room, starting preschool and the boys THIRD birthday!!

Fun in the sun

Summer is officially here, although it has seemed like it here for a couple of weeks already! This first week of summer has already brought 100 degree days. The only thing to do when it's that hot, is swim!! So, that's exactly what we've been doing, pretty much every day. Either in our little pool in the backyard or to a new water park that we found here in Lewisville. It's called Old Town Aquatic Park and the boys love it...and so do I! I haven't taken any pictures of us there yet, because I'm either going by myself or with another mom with kids. Therefore, it's hard to get the camera out when we are all wet and trying to keep track of the kids.
But here is a picture of what it looks like:

We had a wonderful Father's Day. We let Mike sleep-in and I had the boys draw him a picture. We then got ready and went to lunch with Gma & Gpa Engleman and Aunt Mandy & Shelley. We then went out to Gma & Gpas house for swimming and birthday cake & presents. Mike and my Dad both have birthdays this coming weekend. So we decided to celebrate Fathers Day/birthdays all together that day. We had a fabulous time! Here are a few pictures of the boys enjoying the little pool Gma & Gpa got for the boys out at their house:

The Big storm of '09

Our poor trees didn't fare so well in the horrible storm we got last night and this morning:

Luckily the boys thought it was really cool to be without power because they got to play with flashlights! Daddy taught them how to make animal shadows on the wall - they thought it was awesome. They also liked taking a bath by candlelight! Thankfully they fell right asleep and slept through all the lightning, thunder, rain and hail.

What would a post be without some cute pictures of the boys? Aunt Mandy gave the boys King Tut hats from the museum. They loved them!

Whew, the month of May has flown by!

What a busy month it is has been! We've celebrated lots of birthdays (including mine and my mom's), Mother's Day, my sister's graduation and Memorial Day! Unfortunately I either forgot or didn't have my camera charged for the birthdays or Mother's Day. They were all great days though! I love that my boys can now wish me "Happy Birfday Mommy"and "Happy Mudders Day!" It's too cute!

Shelley graduated from UT Dallas this month and we are so proud of her! She has worked long and hard for this achievment! I didn't get any pictures at the graduation because I was busy entertaining two,two and half year olds - that was exhausting! Thankfully Aunt Mandy was there to save the day. She mostly kept them entertained with drawing every animal you can think of as well as a grab bag of stuff from her purse! I do have a couple of pics of the boys helping Shelley open her frame we got her for her diploma. Somehow they think all presents are for them to open! :D

We then threw Shell a graduation party at my house - which was a big success and lots of fun! I forgot to start taking pictures until it was drawing near an end, though. I was too busy playing bartender and hostess! Here's one of the graduate though:

Memorial Day weekend was a great long weekend for us! Since the weather was beautiful, the boys helped Mike wash his car and their wagon. They had a splashing good time! Although, my car never got washed!!

On Memorial Day we had a picnic with my Flower Mound area MOM (moms of multiples) group. It was a great day and Mike finally got to meet all of my great friends I've been talking about for the last few years! We attempted to get a group picture of all the kids, but it didn't turn out so well...maybe when they are a bit older!!

A nice spring day

We are loving the Spring weather and have been playing outside, a lot! It was a little windy today, but still nice. Here are a few pictures of the boys playing and then....videos of them starting to ride their tricycles!!

Reward for Collin

Collin has been begging us to go to Chuck E Cheese, so we told him if he could use the potty all week we would go as a reward. Well, today was the day. Yes, it was a very long day - Arboretum and Chuck E Cheese! I'm tired!

He had a great time as did Brendan. Although, by looking at the pictures it doesn't look like Brendan was that thrilled about it. I think he was just tired like me! Even though he took a two-hour nap and Collin didn't even take one! I guess Collin was running on adrenaline-he's been looking forward to this day all week!

We told Brendan he can have a similar reward when he starts using the potty - we'll see when that happens!
