The ringbearers

Mike's cousin, Jennifer asked the boys to be ring bearers in her wedding. I was excited and couldn't wait to see them in their little tuxedos. They were so handsome and did a great job! It was a beautiful wedding and everyone had a great time. Congrats Jennifer and Dat!

Love this picture...reminds me of how small they still are though they seem so grown up

Mike was in charge of the camera, and somehow we didn't get a picture of the bride and groom until the reception! Congrats guys!

Holiday fun

I always wanted to make a gingerbread house, but never had. So, I thought it would be a fun holiday activity for us to do with the boys. It was fun watching them use their imagination and create their masterpiece (with assistance, of course). They had so much fun and of course enjoyed a few pieces of candy here and there!

Putting up the tree

This year the boys were actually pretty helpful in putting up the Christmas tree. Although I did have to do a little rearranging of ornaments! It was a fun time.

This was me saying, "stand together and smile"...

The almost final product

Hmm, it seems I forgot to snap another picture once we got the ribbon on and the star on the top! Oops! Well, it was pretty!

Updating with a new look

Happy Holidays! I am attempting to update my blog and catchup on all the posts I've missed in the last couple of months, so I thought I'd give it a more festive look too!

Those of you that know me well, know that I am a procrastinator by nature. Add in pregnancy exhaustion and that's why this poor blog has been neglected for over two months. Ah well, no time like the present.

I'm going to post-date the entries so that they are in the correct month of occurrence, so check back at months Sept-Nov!

Snow in Texas!?

One morning in the beginning of December, we awoke to a beautiful snow. It only snowed for about 45 minutes, but it was a pretty snowfall. The boys were glued to the window watching the flakes fall. I think this is the first time they remember seeing it snow. They had preschool that morning so I bundled them up and took a quick photo with the snow before they headed off to school.

Surprisingly, it snowed two more times in December (Christmas Eve and a couple of days before New Years)! Christmas Eve it even snowed enough for the boys to have a snowball fight with their daddy. They loved it, but unfortunately I didn't get any pics!
