Getting to know the newest member of our family!

Our three days in the hospital were actually really good - such a different experience from Brendan & Collin's birth! I recovered well without any complications, so that made a huge difference! The nurses and staff were wonderful, and even the food was pretty good!! I did miss Brendan & Collin terribly, but they had lots of fun with Daddy and Aunt Mandy & Shelley. They were pretty shy the first day that they came to meet Finley -they weren't really sure what to think. I actually don't even have any pictures from the very first meeting because they were overwhelmed and would NOT take pictures!! I even had cute "big brother" shirts they were wearing...I guess I need to do a little photo shoot now with their cute shirts! Here are some pictures from our first few days:

Unfortunately Grandma Engleman was very sick when Finley was born so she didn't get the opportunity to come and visit at the hospital. :( I know that was so hard for her, but she had to take care of herself to get better!

Finley's Birth Day

Finley Christopher was born at 3:54pm on March 31st. He weighed 9lb 7oz and was 20 inches long. We have all been so in love with him from day one! Everything went well with the c-section and we were able to enjoy him right away! Here are some pictures from his birth day.

Preparing for baby Finley

We finally got Finley's room all put together and here are the final results! I love how it turned out.

And the big brothers that can't wait for their baby brother!

And Finley still on the inside!
We had taken a picture like this before the boys were born so we felt inspired to take one this way for Finley too.

Snowy winter

Snow - not a common occurance here in Texas. However, this winter we have seen snowfall on more than one occassion! This is one day where it actually snowed 6 inches! The boys had a ball playing in the snow. I hope they don't think every winter will be this way!

The ringbearers

Mike's cousin, Jennifer asked the boys to be ring bearers in her wedding. I was excited and couldn't wait to see them in their little tuxedos. They were so handsome and did a great job! It was a beautiful wedding and everyone had a great time. Congrats Jennifer and Dat!

Love this picture...reminds me of how small they still are though they seem so grown up

Mike was in charge of the camera, and somehow we didn't get a picture of the bride and groom until the reception! Congrats guys!

Holiday fun

I always wanted to make a gingerbread house, but never had. So, I thought it would be a fun holiday activity for us to do with the boys. It was fun watching them use their imagination and create their masterpiece (with assistance, of course). They had so much fun and of course enjoyed a few pieces of candy here and there!
