Brotherly love

The boys have started to have more of an interest in holding Finley lately. And trying to pick him up....which of course I have been trying to deter. They certainly cannot be left alone with him!

I think these pictures of them holding Finn are so funny because he looks about half their size already!

Swimming lessons

The boys did a week of swim lessons this week. It started out a little rocky, but by the end of the week they were much more comfortable with the water and getting braver. Their teacher was amazing. She was so patient with them and a really great teacher. They went from afraid to get their face wet at all, to going under the water to retrieve a ring from the bottom of the pool! Amazing! She also worked with them on arm strokes, kicking, floating, holding their breath under the water, etc. I'm so glad that we started them this year to make them more comfortable and then hopefully next summer we can start early and get some of the skills mastered!

Four Months Old

Finley is now FOUR months old! I can't believe how fast time is flying by! I thought this summer would be loooong without the boys and school and with a new baby. But, it has flown by. We have mangaged to stay very busy!


He is such a happy and easy going baby...just perfect! He now rolls over and loves to sleep on his tummy. He also loves to grab onto to everything and put it in his mouth. :) At his 4 month well baby visit, he weighed 15lbs even and 25 inches long. Here are his monthly pictures in his chair next to his bear.

All dressed up

Mike's cousin, Chad, got married in Vegas and then had a reception here for everyone. The reception theme was "Vegas" and they had personalized card decks and poker chips on the table for everyone...a really cute idea! He and Jessica are such a cute couple and it was fun to get dressed up and do something out of the ordinary!

I'm thankful for technology in these circumstances. It was past their bedtime and they were fidgety, but Dad's phone kept their attention.

Fourth of July

We had a very fun-filled Fourth of July with our friends! Our friends Elisabeth and Jerry invited us all over to their new house which has a pool. "Us" being 8 adults, 6 kids and 2 babies...plus the two hosts!! It was crazy but lots of fun! So fun and busy that I didn't take any pictures until they end of the evening. After a long afternoon of swimming and then a yummy dinner all the kids laid down to watch a movie. I thought it was so cute and had to snap a picture!

After the party we went to the fireworks show in Lewisville, which was amazing as usual! The boys ooh'd and ahh'd and it was wonderful!

Three months old

Finley is THREE months old today!! Look how much he's grown. He is now smiling all the time, giggling, and very interested in what his brothers are doing. He is entertained all day just by watching them! Unfortunately he's starting to lose his cute little mohawk...losing all that baby hair! But he's still a cutie! He is also trying to work on his rolling skills...it won't be long I'm sure!
